Brave Raideen (勇者ライディーン, Yūsha Raidīn) , sometimes spelled "Reideen" is a 50 episode giant super robo series Written by Masaki TsujiSōji Yoshikawa Produced by Tohokushinsha, Asahi News Agency and Sunrise.The manga was published by Sunday Comics. The pilot's name is Akira and he coaches his own soccer team. His eyes turned red and was called to the robot to "fade in" by an unknown voice and he merged with the robot who seems almost sentient, he watches his dad turn to stone and vows regenge and beats his first monster ( he gets the uniform somehow in episode 2). In another episode a young freckled nun called for him, and eahc tie He obeyed and went to her. This is one of those Mazinger, SHingetter robo, Voltes, daikumaryu gaiking, koutestu steel Jeeg, animes with that Go Nagai kind of vibe of robots, the ocean, panty shots, demons and gods, boys being stupid and goofy, dead scientist dad, science grandpa, tragic moments and such we kaijo and giant robot fans love and know so well. The villains were so dastardly they deserved red cards... not that they would pay attention to the referee. lil soccer humor... never mind... wasn't funny, I know... WELL THEY CAN'T ALL BE GEMS!
