An artist is a person who gives themselves to their craft. They live and express themselves through art. Merely doing something well does not make you an artist, you need to be dedicated and have discipline and also LIVE what you do. It's a part of you. If you didn't give yourself to your craft, you are not an artist. You just draw, sing, dance and can give it up like nothing happened. When an artist can't do their craft they die.
